By downloading, installing, or using Gym-Rx ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is provided by Cascade Software Solutions LLC ("Cascade," "we," "us," or "our").
Gym-Rx is a workout tracking application that allows you to log exercises, track progress, and manage your fitness routine. The App also lets you connect with an independent coach who may share programming, workouts, and feedback with you through the App (see Section 6). The App offers both free and premium features, integrates with Apple HealthKit (with your permission), and includes a watchOS companion app for tracking workouts from your Apple Watch.
Gym-Rx does not require you to create an account to track your own workouts. If you connect with a coach, additional account and data-sharing steps apply. We use anonymous identifiers for subscription management and analytics.
Premium features are available through auto-renewing subscriptions managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). By purchasing a subscription:
We offer individual app subscriptions and a bundle subscription that includes access to both Gym-Rx and NutritionRx. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies.
Certain premium features use artificial intelligence to provide insights and recommendations. These AI features are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice, professional training guidance, or a substitute for consultation with qualified professionals. You use AI-generated content at your own risk.
Cascade does not provide or perform coaching, training, or programming services. Coaches who connect with you through the App are independent third parties. They are not employees, agents, partners, contractors, or representatives of Cascade, and nothing a coach says or does is attributable to us. We do not direct, supervise, control, review, approve, or endorse any coach, or any program, workout, recommendation, advice, or service a coach provides. We are not responsible for any interaction facilitated through the App, and we have no control over — and assume no responsibility for — the quality, timing, provision, or any aspect whatsoever of the coaching, training, workouts, programs, advice, check-ins, or other services a coach provides to you. We are not a party to, and take no responsibility for, the relationship or any agreement between you and a coach.
We do not, and have no obligation to, verify, screen, background-check, or confirm the identity, licensure, certifications, credentials, education, qualifications, insurance, or fitness of any coach, or the accuracy of any information a coach provides. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, with respect to any coach — including as to their quality, expertise, education, or level of certification — or with respect to any program, plan, content, or advice a coach provides. You are solely responsible for evaluating and selecting any coach and for your interactions and relationship with them.
The App provides informational and tracking tools only. Nothing made available through the App, including anything a coach provides, constitutes medical, healthcare, or professional advice, and none of it is a substitute for appropriate and timely consultation with a qualified, licensed professional. No physician-patient or other professional relationship is created by your use of the App. Coaches are not necessarily licensed medical or healthcare professionals, and we do not require or verify that they are. Consult your physician before beginning or changing any exercise program, and never change or stop any course of medical treatment without first consulting your physician.
You acknowledge that exercise, physical training, and following any program, plan, or advice — including any program, plan, or advice a coach provides to you through the App — involve inherent risks, which may include muscle or joint injury, cardiovascular events, adverse reactions, illness, aggravation of pre-existing conditions, disability, and, in rare cases, death. You voluntarily and entirely assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, arising out of your use of the App and your relationship with any coach.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and discharge Cascade Software Solutions LLC, its apps (WhiteboardRx, GymRx, NutritionRx), and its owners, members, officers, employees, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, and causes of action of every kind — known or unknown — arising out of or relating to: (i) the acts or omissions of, or your relationship or interactions with, any coach or other user; and (ii) any program, plan, instruction, advice, content, or service created, provided, or communicated by any coach or other third party, including anything delivered through the App. Your interactions with any coach are at your sole discretion and risk.
If you are a California resident, you expressly waive California Civil Code §1542, which states: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release, and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party."
Your workout data is stored locally on your device. If you delete the App, your local data will be lost unless you have created a backup. We are not responsible for lost data.
The App integrates with Apple HealthKit to read and write health and fitness data (such as workout data, body weight, active energy burned, and heart rate). This integration is optional and requires your explicit permission. HealthKit data is stored on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
The App also offers a watchOS companion app that syncs data locally with your iPhone and may collect heart rate data during workouts via Apple Watch sensors. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or purposes unrelated to health and fitness functionality.
Your use of HealthKit is also subject to Apple's terms and privacy policies. You may revoke HealthKit access at any time through your device settings.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cascade Software Solutions LLC and its apps, owners, members, officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any third-party claim, demand, loss, damage, cost, or liability (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to content you submit, your use of the App, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
The App, and anything made available through it (including any coach-provided content), is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. You use the App at your sole risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cascade Software Solutions LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the App or from any coach or coach-provided content. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, including any coach. We have no obligation to become involved in, and are not responsible for, any dispute between you and a coach.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable rules, on an individual basis. You and Cascade waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. This section does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive relief in court for intellectual-property or unauthorized-access claims.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and version above, and, for material changes, by requiring you to re-accept within the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
